Woven Fabric and Cloth Wristbands for Multi-Day Stays

Woven fabric is the durable option: a tight weave that carries dye-sublimated or woven-in graphics and takes a one-way closure for tamper resistance. It is the standard for festivals and for resort stays where the band is an entitlement for the whole visit. Cloth stretch is softer and elasticated, which is the comfort choice for spa and wellness use where a guest wears it against skin for hours and where a rigid band would be intrusive.

Recycled PET behaves like woven fabric and carries recycled content, so properties with a sustainability position can keep the fabric build without changing how the band performs. All three accept 125 kHz and 13.56 MHz chips, delivered encoded and numbered or blank.

On fabric we prefer dye-sublimation or a woven-in pattern over surface print. Both put the graphic into the material rather than on top of it, which matters over a multi-day stay in a climate where the band gets wet, dries in sun, and is rubbed by sleeves and bag straps. A surface-printed fabric band photographs beautifully on day one and looks tired by day four.

Sequential numbering and QR codes work well on fabric provided the panel behind them is light enough to scan. On a dark band we specify a printed light panel for the code rather than relying on contrast the scanner will not find.

A one-way sliding closure or a heat-sealed join makes the band tamper-evident: it cannot be transferred to another guest without visible damage. That is the point for entitlements. Where a property wants guests to be able to remove the band — a wellness programme, a returning member — we specify a re-fastenable closure and accept that the band is not an entitlement control.

For properties issuing at scale, the pre-attachment question is worth settling early: bands supplied loose for the front desk to fit, or supplied ready to fit with the closure already prepared, changes how long check-in takes per guest.

Let the wear period choose the material and the entitlement choose the closure. Those are two separate decisions, and conflating them is how a property ends up with a comfortable band that anyone can pass to a friend, or a secure band nobody wants to wear for seven nights.
